Truth of the week

I think my family and friends are fake, two-faced towards me 😞PL

original · polski

Myślę że moi bliscy i przyjaciele są fałszywi , dwulicowi w stosunku do mnie 😞

Distrust usually starts with a single situation. But the belief that everyone is fake grows faster than the facts that back it up - and it starts to include even those who did nothing wrong. That's normal right after something has hurt you. It only becomes a problem when that belief stays for good and starts deciding on its own who you give a chance to.

Once a week, nothing more.

EARLIER

My screen time today is 7 hours of scrolling... · reflection

Seven hours of scrolling is not rare - phones are built to make time disappear like that. The real problem is not the number, it is that the hours passed unnoticed. Pick one thing those hours replaced today, even something small. Then notice the moment right before you open the app tomorrow - that is the one moment you actually control.

Everyone calls me strong and it’s slowly wearing me down · reflection

Strong is a compliment that slowly becomes a job. People lean on whoever can hold the weight, then forget to ask if the one holding it is tired. The strength is real. What is missing is anyone who lets you put it down. Find one person you can be tired in front of - being carried is not only for other people.

I'm drowning and nobody sees itPL · reflection

Tone i nikt tego nie widzi

Drowning is the moment when suddenly there's more than you can carry - and it happens to everyone. What's worse is the other thing: it happens in a silence no one hears. No one comes to what they don't know about. You don't have to say everything at once. One true sentence is enough, to one person who won't look away.

I want to believe it's not too late yetPL · reflection

Chcę uwierzyć, że jeszcze nie jest za późno

Almost everyone reaches a moment when they're afraid the best time for something has already passed. That's simply human. But "too late" is almost always less concrete than it seems. Name exactly the one thing this is about. Then take a first small step toward it, because whether it's really too late is shown by trying, not by thinking about it.

I forgot what happy feels like · reflection

Happy fades from memory quickly, quicker than bad days do. Forgetting what it feels like is not the same as it being gone. The honest question is whether small good moments still slip past you unnoticed, or whether the days have gone flat. This week, catch one thing that isn't bad and stay with it a second longer. It comes back through noticing, not through waiting.

I pretend it doesn't hurt mePL · reflection

Udaję że mnie to nie boli

Pretending something doesn't hurt is something almost everyone does - it's the cost of holding yourself together around other people. The mask itself isn't the problem. The problem starts when you pretend so well that you stop feeling it yourself. Admit it once, to yourself, out loud or on paper: this hurts. Pain that you name can eventually be set aside - the pretended kind stays right where it is.

I can do it! 💪 · reflection

Saying it out loud is a real thing - it gathers you before the hard part. That is also where its usefulness ends. The words prove nothing by themselves; only the first step does. So take the smallest piece of it today, while you still mean it. What you start now is worth more than what you promise.

My life looks better online · reflection

Everyone shows the good parts online - that is not a lie, it is a habit we all share. The trouble starts when you begin to believe the edited version yourself, and your own days feel like a letdown next to it. Look up from the screen for one hour this week. The life that happens while no one is watching is the only one you get to live.

I do too littlePL · reflection

Zbyt mało robię

Not enough is always a comparison - with someone, with a plan, with a version of yourself that no one can see. As long as the measure stays unclear, every day quietly loses to it. Feeling like you're not doing enough is common in people who care about something. Choose one task for today and let its completion be enough. In the evening, count what you did, not what was missing.
